How long has your business been running?
Gran opening is 19th August 2011

What does your shop stock?
Munky & Me stock stylish clothing for babies, boys and girls! You'll fun unique pieces so your little one will stand out from the crowd. Munky & Me also stock great range of accessories like hair clips, socks & tights, hats & beanies. Also eating utensils, things for when you are out and about, breast & bottle feeding, bath & body and lots more stylish products.

What is the biggest challenge?
Biggest challenge would be stopping myself from keeping all the stock for my little ones! Also the usual time factor plays a challenging part occasionally but doing it all from home helps me still be a stay at home mum whilst fulfilling my passion!

What do you love about what you do?
I have a passion for childrens clothing and accessories. As a mum of two small children I'm always looking for stylish clothes or products that make life a little easier or little more fun! Running my online store o can still spend everyday with my children and provide these stylish products to other parents!

What's planned for the future of your shop?
I'm always searching for unique products so I hope to expand the range Munky & Me stock.

Who inspires you?
My two children inspire me everyday! They are my little models for the clothing! Plus they make a grey day instantly better and my very supportive husband helps make fulfilling my passion as a mum and owner of Munky & Me possible

Describe your perfect day?
Everyday is a perfect day for me.

We are very excited to have Munky and Me as stockist of some Mooce products.

STOCKIST SPOTLIGHT - Fairy Monsters

I really wanted to share with you all some of the shops that support and stock Mooce products and so I've decided to start series of short blog interviews to get a bit of insight on some truly amazing businesses and women behind them.  

First up, please meet Michelle from online store Fairy Monsters.

 

 

Tell us about your shop - Fairy Monsters

Fairy Monsters was developed with the idea of finding unique products that make mum’s life easier and a one stop shop for people looking for fabulous gifts for that special child in their life.

How long has your business been running?

Fairy Monsters is very new and we opened in April 2011

What does your shop stock?

We stock everything from skincare, toys, clothes, wall stickers and products to make things easier when out and about. I LOVE the Groovy Gripper. it is a rusk holder which clips to your child’s clothes so you don’t have to keep picking it up. it’s perfect especially when in the car.

What is the biggest challenge?

I am a stay at home to two daughters, Reagan who is 3 and Elyse who is almost 1 so sometimes it’s difficult to devote the time I want to work on developing the Fairy Monsters website and brand.

What do you love about what you do?
 

I have always wanted to work from home when I had kids and Fairy Monsters has provided that opportunity. I love the freedom to be with the girls but have something that I am so proud and passionate about outside of looking after the kids. I have also meet some great people through doing this who are always there to offer advice and bounce ideas off when I need it.

What's planned for the future of your shop?
 

I love sourcing new products that you don’t find in the major department stores, so I hope Fairy Monsters can keep providing unique products that other stores don’t have. There are also so many work at home mums now that create and design gorgeous products that I hope to sell through Fairy Monsters which gives them an outlet to get there brand known and also a one stop shop for people looking for those unique products.

Describe your perfect day?

Sunday is my perfect day. It’s the one day of the week we make sure we do something fun as a family or if we don’t have any plans we lounge about in our pyjamas most of the day and have a delicious morning tea from our local bakery.

LOVE Summer Collection 2011/12

‘LOVE’ is the inspiration for our summer 2011 collection.    We can express love in so many different ways, and for this collection we have poured the love we have for our family and our work into creating each gorgeous design. 

I had lots of little helpers during this time and without them I wouldn't be able to work on this project.  Special thank you will have to go to my family, Orphan Design,  Rachel Richter Photography and my friend Jo McLaren.

NEW WEBSITE

With an absolute delight I am happy to announce our new WEBSITE is up and running.

The summer collection is yet to be revealed but you can see a sneak peek on our 'Home' page and 'About us'.

Our Update....

I know, I haven’t been the best blogger but I have been very busy, you see…

The past 5 months have been really exciting for my label Mooce (pronounced Mutzy). Firstly, I have changed the name from Mooce Baby to just Mooce. I had to establish new Facebook page, new emails, new website domain, new twitter account, new company and the list goes on….. Then, I have made the decision to transfer my business from handmade production to  manufactured one. I have been through very exciting and challenging process of putting my first fully manufactured collection together. It took 3 ½ months to design and produce it but I can proudly report, this is now finished and on its way to Brisbane. YAY !

So, what is next…..?

I am currently working on our new website, preparing for Mooce photo shoot with wonderful Rachel Richter Photography and also working on various marketing activities (some of it is still a bit of secret)…..and of course, I have started designing again ;-)




So for now, we all have to wait a little longer until it all can be revealed.

BIG FABRIC AND HABERDASHERY SALE

The production of our summer collection is almost finished. How exciting! .... where am I going to put all the boxes? Hmmm, I went to look at my work room and realised there are fabrics, ribbons, buttons etc. everywhere and I don't really need most of it. So I have decided to have a BIG SALE. There will be: fabrics (small and large) quantities - mainly designer fabrics. I also have a lot of haberdashery items - ie.elastics, size labels, care labels, threads, buttons etc.
